Orbis Group Inc. has been operating on the construction market for nearly fifteen years. During this time, the company has earned an excellent reputation in several different types of exterior finishes.
With initial success in glazing and window installations, installation of full cladding systems for both single and multifamily residential projects was soon to follow. Today, Orbis Group has the knowledge and experience to take on nearly any commercial cladding project, whether new construction or renovation.
While keeping your needs, tastes and budget restriction in mind, we are able to provide a full siding installation service of the highest quality for your commercial property.
From initial contact to project completion, Orbis Group will be there to provide you with excellent customer service, including free estimations, a 3d model of your property complete showing the siding system of your choice and shop drawings showing our installation assemblies prior to starting work on site.
With many completed projects and satisfied clients, our customer reviews are a great reflection of the experience we offer.
Corrugated Steel cladding is the most popular material used in commercial construction. This is thanks not only to the simplicity of the installation process or affordable materials but also due to its versatility.
Corrugated Metal can be formed into various different profiles some of which can be used as roofing as well as siding.
These panels are available in a remarkable array of colours that are able to meet the preferences of any client. This can be a great advantage to business owners looking to match the exterior of their commercial project to their brand or logo.
Corrugated Metal is also one of the siding systems requiring the least amount of maintenance work; with minimal caulking and smooth, prepainted panels, you can easily spray the walls with soapy water to remove any dust and dirt.
Another popular system for some commercial projects is vinyl siding.
This type of siding is often seen on single family homes as well as small multi family buildings but it is also used to clad relatively small commercial structures such as a convenience store or a restaurant.
By combining polyvinyl chloride and titanium dioxide manufacturers are able to create a product that is both resistant to impact damage as well as long term exposure to sun and adverse weather conditions.
Vinyl siding does have a tendency to expand and contract as temperatures change but this is taken into account during the installation process. The siding system is installed with appropriately sized gaps behind the trims. This prevents spaces from appearing near windows and doors during contraction and prevents siding material from cracking or buckling under the pressure of expansion.
There are many aluminum siding systems used on the commercial market. From Woodgrain tongue and groove extruded aluminum planks to ACM architectural wall panels, these systems are often used to highlight certain architectural features such as the façade or entrance way of a business.
Aluminum is very popular among commercial clients, not only because of its aesthetically pleasing appearance and low maintenance requirements, but it also offers excellent protection against small animals, insects, fire damage and even corrosion.
Among cladding options for commercial projects, fibre cement siding is beginning to set itself apart from the competition. Initially a great option for small business owners looking for a classic or homey appearance for their business by using shingles or lap siding, Fibre Cement has now become a popular option among large commercial and industrial businesses alike.
With the help of James Hardie’s vast product line, we are able to offer a wide range of siding systems catered to the needs of our clients. From the use of smooth or wood grain panels and metal trims to create a modern appeal to more traditional board and batten or lap siding systems, there is a fibre cement product that can work for you and your business.
In some cases, there is no replacement for the feel and appearance of natural wood materials. Despite additional maintenance required compared to other manufactured siding products, natural wood has remained a staple in exterior design for thousands of years.
Wood, be it pine, spruce, fir or cedar, can be used to manufacture both siding products like planks, panels or trims to architectural features like knee braces or posts and beams.
There are many new commercial construction projects across the country highlighting the use of sustainable natural wood products and including them in beautiful architectural displays.
Orbis Group can assist you through the process of selecting, sourcing and installing the right lumber materials for your project.
In the process of commercial exterior cladding, classic horizontal panels are often used. And although this version of masonry can be called a classic, this does not mean that the building covered with horizontal panels will look boring. No, these days there are many materials that can be combined with each other, if desired, creating a unique style of a commercial building. Also, when choosing any type of panel, it is possible to alternate the shades and tones of neighboring panels or rows. Thus, even when using exclusively horizontal panels, the appearance of the building is easy to make attractive and memorable.
Commercial buildings differ from residential buildings primarily in their functions. And if a residential building does not necessarily need to attract the eyes with the beauty of the exterior decoration, then for a successful commercial building this is an absolutely necessary property of exterior cladding. That is why, more and more often, in order to make the building look different from others, the owners choose not the traditional horizontal paneling, but the vertical version of the siding. In any type of facing materials today, you can choose such panels. Moreover, with a professional approach to the issue, you can make an incredible design of a commercial building, using a combination of horizontal and vertical panels. Such options leave few people indifferent.
Stucco siding is a special type of house covering, consisting of panels that combine special cement, lime, sand and water. Sometimes they also contain fiberglass or acrylic, since these additives significantly increase the strength of the panels. These panels are quite expensive and their tone fades over time, so they need to be repainted after some time. However, for many owners of commercial premises, these disadvantages are perfectly compensated by the incomparable impression that visitors have when looking at a building covered with such cladding panels.
Every cladding manufacturer offers their own colour palette and some even offer custom options using colour swatches from paint brands such as Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore. This allows you to create virtually infinite colour combination or matching the coating of siding products from different manufacturers.
Even though pre painted siding can increase the overall cost of your siding project, it is important to take into consideration the advantages before choosing primed material. Installing pre painted materials often include additional warranty coverage as the coating quality and application method are designed to keep your siding looking as good as the day it was installed for years to come.
The facade of your property, be it a grocery store, restaurant or retail establishment, can be a great way attract attention and that is no secret.
For many potential buyers, seeing your business will be their first impression of it and can determine whether or not they are interested in walking in. However, aesthetic appeal is not the only thing to consider when designing your new business or renovating your existing property. Exterior insulation can be a great way to reduce energy consumption and trim your overhead costs. Orbis Group is able to offer many different insulation options in order to meet any required R-Value and these can be installed under any cladding system.
Commercial building requirements can differ from residential requirements and it is important to be aware of these from the beginning of the project. Starting with the weather membrane and initial layers of waterproofing, special products and application methods could be needed prior to installing rainscreen, insulation and siding.
In order to ensure that your building envelope is installed as per building code specifications, we start by consulting with envelope engineers to determine if there are any specific details that require special attention.
Once a logistical plan is set in place, and the weather barrier is installed, it is possible to start installing rainscreen and exterior insulation. For concrete buildings, we can even offer thermally broken rainscreen systems that prevent exterior temperature fluctuations from affecting interior temperatures by transferring through the concrete walls.
Presenting a quotation and design requires estimating of material cost, labour time and special equipment rentals. When it comes to commercial projects, these aspects can verily greatly from project to project and are dependent on the design and building regulations for your specific project.
During the estimation process, we will work with you to determine which sub frame system and siding products will work best to meet your design and budget requirements. Our team of siding specialists is here to help and provide you with a comprehensive quotation free of charge; this includes examining drawings, visiting the site as well as answering any questions you may have.

We ordered siding and windows along with the installation from this company. Manager Tom came to estimate the house. Estimation was free. He counted everything and suggested which materials would be better with best quality. He also talked about the timing, progress of work and stages. All materials were brought free of charge, the entire territory was cleaned and covered with special tents so as not to spoil my garden and lawn, as well as the adjacent territory. The installation scheme was not typical and was proposed by the project manager as the optimal solution for our house design. Tom's team worked well, very efficiently maintaining an average pace and completed all the work in accordance with the established requirements. The working conditions were not satisfactory due to bad weather conditions, but despite this, the quality did not suffer. I was convinced of this once again when my relative (a professional builder) came to visit me from Manitoba and confirmed it. The experience of the construction crew is visible to the naked eye. The team is 100% completed in special equipment and tooling, I liked it. There were times when I asked builders about the tools they use. They showed me and said that all one kit they use costs at least $ 15,000. I noticed Hilti, Makita and other brands, which are very expensive. All the pitfalls were discussed during the construction activities in advance and did not baffle me. Based on the results of the work performed, I can evaluate the construction and installation team and the manager's project for an assessment of "5+". At the end of the construction activities, the area around the house was cleaned up, the remaining materials were disposed of according to the rules. In general, we were satisfied with the work, the price was not to say that it was expensive, but also not cheap. I believe that the entire budget spent on facing our house is fully justified. In confirmation of this, my friend, a realtor, told me that after the renovation, my house grew in price by 78% of the funds spent on the cladding, so I am very pleased, as most likely I will sell it in the near future. Project manager and respectable builders are very good. I and my wife would like to thank this company for the work done on time and for the attitude towards the client.

We had all the siding on our house replaced by Orbis. The only hang-up was a delay in the custom painting of the Hardie, which took a little longer than expected. But it was definitely worth the wait! Tom, our sales rep, was outstanding and very responsive. He was up front about pricing and extremely thorough. Jeremy and his crew did an exceptional job with the install. They were respectful, maintained a clean site, and detailed. I would absolutely recommend Orbis to anyone out there looking for exterior home improvements!
